Loong Air, a Chinese airline, has introduced its inaugural cross-strait service by launching a direct flight route connecting Chengdu Tianfu International Airport and Taichung International Airport. This new route aims to enhance travel connectivity between southwestern China and central Taiwan, with flights set to operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The addition of this route is a significant development as it links Chengdu, a major city in southwestern China, with Taichung, located in central Taiwan. This service is anticipated to strengthen ties and improve accessibility for travelers between these two important regions.

Taichung International Airport, which now hosts this new Chengdu route, has expanded its network to include a total of 31 routes. Among these are 20 regular, scheduled services and 11 charter routes, underscoring the airport’s growing role as a vital hub for international travel in the region.

With Chengdu being added to the list of destinations, Taichung Airport now caters to three scheduled cross-strait routes, alongside existing services to Nanjing and Qingdao. This expansion reflects a broader trend of increasing air connectivity across the strait, offering more travel options for passengers.
