This summit, marking their second in-person engagement this year, underscored significant geopolitical tensions and bilateral relations between the two global powers.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had previously urged President Trump to leverage China’s influence over Russia to aid in resolving the ongoing conflict.
